Getting set up
- National Insurance number — phone the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP)
- Documents needed: proof of identity + proof of permission to work
- National Citizen Service — for 16–17 year olds, and it is optional, not compulsory
- Suspected extremism/terrorism — contact your local police force
- School governors’ key roles: set the strategic direction, ensure accountability, monitor and evaluate school performance
